Foundation Repair
Your home sits on a foundation that holds everything together. If that foundation starts to fail, the rest of the structure will follow. Falcone Crawl Space is equipped to repair foundations the right way with real structural solutions, not quick surface patches.
What Type of Foundation Does Your Home Have?
Falcone repairs all major foundation types across the Carolinas:
Crawl Space Foundations
These are the most common in our region. Crawl space foundations elevate the home slightly off the ground. Over time, moisture, wood rot, and settling soils can cause beams and piers to fail, leading to bouncy floors or structural sagging.
We handle everything from replacing individual piers to full crawl space foundation rebuilds.
Basement Foundations
Basement walls are under constant pressure from soil and water. Cracks, bowing, or leaning walls are signs your basement foundation is under stress. We use structural repair methods, not just waterproofing, to restore strength and stability.
Slab Foundations
Slab-on-grade foundations are poured directly on the soil. If the soil settles or shifts, the slab can crack or sink. These issues often show up as interior cracks or sloping floors. We’ll diagnose the root cause and install proper supports to stabilize the foundation.
How We Handle Foundation Repair
Different foundation issues call for different solutions. At Falcone, we use proven structural methods designed to stop movement, repair damage, and restore stability.
Helical Piers
Used for lifting and stabilizing settling foundations
When a home’s foundation has sunk or settled unevenly, we use helical piers to transfer the weight of the home to stable soil or bedrock. These steel piers are screwed deep into the ground, then attached to the foundation to lift and hold it in place.
- Ideal for homes with poor soil or significant settlement
- Can lift sagging sections of the foundation
- Installed with minimal disruption to the property
- Provides permanent load-bearing support
Carbon Fiber Straps
System: Fortress Invisibeam™ Composite Straps
For bowing basement walls, carbon fiber straps are a clean, non-invasive way to stop movement and strengthen the structure. We use the Fortress Invisibeam™ system, which bonds a carbon strap to the wall and mechanically anchors it into the sill plate. It’s stronger than steel and nearly invisible once installed.
- Stops wall movement permanently
- No digging or exterior work required
- Can be painted over for a clean finish
- ICC-certified and tested to structural standards

Geotechnical Wall Anchors
System: Grip-Tite® Wall Anchor System
When a wall has moved too far for carbon fiber to be effective, we install wall anchors. These use heavy-duty steel plates and rods that tie the wall back into stable soil away from the foundation.
- Corrects wall bowing and leaning
- Works well on block and poured concrete walls
- Long-term solution for hydrostatic pressure

Soldier Beams (I-Beams)
System: Engineered Steel Soldier Piers
For severe foundation wall movement or failing basement walls, soldier beams are often the most reliable repair. These vertical steel beams are anchored to the slab and the framing above, providing rigid, full-height support.
- Provides immediate structural reinforcement
- Can be used in combination with other repairs
- Ideal for restoring bowed or collapsed walls

FOUNDATION REPAIR CUSTOMER TESTIMONIALS
Eric and team were GREAT. Added piers and beams to eliminate our springy floors. Cleaned everything up you would never know they were here. except the floors are now solid.
They kept me informed during the whole process. The people doing the work knew what they were doing and did it very well. I would highly recommend Falcone Crawl Space.
FOUNDATION REPAIR FAQS
Foundation issues can manifest in various ways. Look out for signs such as cracks in the foundation walls, uneven or sloping floors, sticking doors or windows, gaps around window frames, and visible gaps between the walls and ceiling.
It depends on the extent and nature of the foundation issue. Some minor problems can be resolved with less invasive methods like crack sealing, epoxy injections, or installing additional supports. However, more severe issues may require significant repairs, such as underpinning or foundation replacement.
In our experience, pretty much anything is fixable!
A question many people want to know the answer to, but unfortunately it isn’t that simple. Factors such as the issue at hand, square footage, the foundation type, the age of the home, the geographic location, and permitting and engineering costs all matter as well. The only way to know a true estimate of your home’s foundation repair cost is to schedule a free consultation.
While there are many factors that can contribute to the duration of foundation repairs, a typical job is 3-5 days.
The best-case scenario is to never shake up any existing landscaping, but sometimes it is unavoidable. Falcone does our best to leave your house and the surrounding area in the same, if not better, condition. It must be said, though, that foundation repair work, including excavation and grading changes, does have a possibility of impacting landscaping. We promise to minimize disruptions, communicate concerns, and be prepared to replant or reinstall landscaping elements after repairs if it were to come to that.
Foundation problems can result from various factors, including soil settlement, poor drainage, expansive clay soils, improper construction techniques, water leaks, tree roots, and seismic activity.
Falcone’s specialty! A crawl space is a shallow space below a house that is used mainly for access to plumbing, electrical wiring, and ventilation. They are normally only accessible by crouching and crawling, something most homeowners don’t want to deal with.
A basement is a below-ground level constructed with walls and a floor. Basements provide additional living space, storage, or utility rooms beneath the main living area of the house.
A type of foundation for a building, typically a house, where a single, continuous layer of concrete is poured directly onto the ground to support the structure. It is known as a “slab-on-grade” foundation.
