FAQs

We recommend inspecting your crawl space once per year. An annual inspection ensures that all equipment—such as dehumidifiers, sump pumps, and drainage systems—is operating properly. We also check humidity levels and wood moisture readings to confirm conditions remain within safe ranges. Identifying changes early helps prevent wood deterioration, moisture-related issues, and costly repairs, while protecting your home long-term.

If your home has a crawl space, that’s reason enough. Annual maintenance isn’t about reacting to problems—it’s about preventing them. Many crawl space issues develop quietly and go unnoticed until they become expensive. Routine maintenance helps ensure your system continues to do its job year after year.

If we identify a concern with a dehumidifier, sump pump, or other crawl space system, we’ll notify you right away and walk you through clear, practical options. No pressure—just straightforward recommendations so you can make an informed decision about protecting your home.

Skipping crawl space inspections can allow small issues to turn into major problems. Excess moisture can lead to wood rot, fungal growth, and structural deterioration. Pests may gain access, insulation can lose effectiveness, and energy costs may increase. Over time, these conditions can impact your home’s foundation, indoor air quality, and overall value.
