Fred Falcone becomes only National Certified Foundation Repair Specialist in the Carolinas

The National Foundation Repair Association has members from 19 states, but only one from the Carolinas has a nationally-certified foundation repair specialist on staff. In April 2017, Falcone Crawl Space owner Fred Falcone traveled to Houston, Texas to take the NFRA exam and attend the organization’s annual conference.

The executive director of the association, Joe McCullough, says:
“The National Association for Foundation Repair is proud to announce that Fred Falcone of Falcone Crawl Space & Structural Repair has been entered into a growing field of Nationally CERTIFIED Foundation Repair Specialist in the U.S. The national foundation repair exam places the Falcone company in a prestigious membership category of “CERTIFIED SPECIALIST” who have gone well beyond common knowledge and hands on experience. Preparation for the national test takes months, subject knowledge and significant study to pass. When a consumer is searching and hoping to get a “qualified foundation repairman” off the internet vs. a (Chuck in a Truck Character) look for the “CERTIFIED SPECIALIST” in your area that knows what they are doing and can repair your home best.”

The new office can help us better serve homeowners, as we have a larger warehouse with more room to store helical piers and other materials, a fenced-in lot to park all the green trucks and a larger conference room for team member training.

Falcone Crawl Space support the Carolina Raptor Center’s efforts to save falcons and other raptors. Four team members and their guests attended GoWild, an annual Carolina Raptor Center fundraiser, and Falcone Crawl Space was one of the event sponsors. We also love to visit the trail at Carolina Raptor Center and say hello to our “adopted” peregrine falcon, Aragorn.

November 2015 Best Places to Work Celebration

This year sixty-eight employers were honored by Charlotte Business Journal’s annual Best Places to Work contest. Beginning in mid-September, CBJ released the list of companies that were selected, based on employee surveys, and the program ended on a high note November 19 with an awards banquet to honor the winners. Fred didn’t just walk on stage to receive the award, he CRAWLED!
The CBJ’s Best Places to Work program recognizes companies that balance between company goals and employee satisfaction. This means looking at benefits packages, policies and other perks that companies use to keep their team happy, healthy and loving their jobs. Winners are chosen based on anonymous employee satisfaction and engagement survey results. This is the fourth time that Falcone has been honored. Falcone team members Nicole Thompson and newly appointed general manager Anne Gannon were lucky enough to attend and watch as Fred Falcone accepted Falcone’s award for 6th Best Place to Work in Charlotte, NC! Saturday School June 2015

Constant improvement is our goal, and education plays a big part in that! A few times a year Falcone Crawl Space offers optional, paid training for team members. This month the new team members went through Vapor Barrier, Insulation and Pier classroom training, which helps them to earn those three installer certifications. Team members who are already certified learned more about helical pier installation and two mold remediation services we offer: Oxypar mold wash and MaxGuard sealant.
